I echo the same thoughts.

Afa the Gita is concerned - there is no particlar verse. Throughout the Gita, Krsna tells Arjuna that he should perform his duty. Even if he didn't want to and backed out...the Kauravs shall still be killed. No where does Krsna enforce his thoughts on Arjuna. Through a logical dialogue he convinces Arjuna of the rights and wrongs and the importance of doing one's duty, even if it means going against one's family...

@Ye manzilen - Did that !All Talk and No Actionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10241065789942589469noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-550144415019268313.post-74677464755258237272008-12-26T16:20:00.000+00:002008-12-26T16:20:00.000+00:00email karna to mujhe....email karna to mujhe....Ye manzilen !!https://www.blogger.com/profile/16375104650729573677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-550144415019268313.post-27500820637165786922008-12-26T13:40:00.000+00:002008-12-26T13:40:00.000+00:00@ DhawalI am touched by your concern for the veget...@ Dhawal

I am touched by your concern for the vegetarian cause.

@ All Talk and No Action

I would really appreciate if you could give me the verse no. from Geeta wherein Lord Krsna said that.

@ Shweta

I was always proud of your Google skills. Today you have made me prouder.

However, if someone can't be the best doesn't mean he should not strive to be better than what he is. So just because if some one can't be vegan as not every one can afford to be one (for economic, social or medical reasons), does not mean that one shouldn't try to become vegetarian.

I hope you are aware that Cannibalism is rampant in many tribal areas in India. These tribes are worse than non vegetarians and if they stop eating humans and switch to animals, even then it would be some sort of progression for them.

Imagine some one is trying to convince them that eating humans is not good and they retort by saying that humans eat other walking things and are hence no better, how would you refute them ?

So if a student is scoring 30% (cannibal/non Vegetarian) in his exams & cannot score 100% (vegan) does not mean that scoring 80% or 90% (vegetarian or eggetarian) is no better.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-550144415019268313.post-25063846202558880732008-12-26T13:27:00.000+00:002008-12-26T13:27:00.000+00:00Who cares about these post till.....Miss M comment...Who cares about these post till.....Miss M comments...

"do NOT force people to believe in me...In the same way, we should not force,...."

Now that is a KILLER statement coming from someone like you..!

Way to go madame..
This is exactly wat I meant earlier by saying "bring some humor to your blog" :DBS..https://www.blogger.com/profile/02997628824901623754noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-550144415019268313.post-42270659112474342202008-12-26T06:03:00.000+00:002008-12-26T06:03:00.000+00:00I completely agree with the noble thoughts that Mu...I completely agree with the noble thoughts that Mukta has presented above.

@Dhawal:
I would actually love to go to Govinda....I relish vegetarian food equally!!
Am sure even Edwina would like to try out the sumptuous Veg stuff.

@Mukta:
Dhawal's source of those very thoughtful & inspiring quotes is
http://www.quotegarden.com/vegetarianism.html

@Dhawal:
Thanks for the EYE OPENER. I am sure they would love the veg Thai, Chinese,

Some interesting thoughts:
If slaughter houses had glass walls, everybody would be vegetarian. - Paul McCartney

Mukta, did you take them to the slaughterhouse at Crawford Market.

A vegetarian is a person who won't eat anything that can have children. ~David Brenne

You put a baby in a crib with an apple and a rabbit. If it eats the rabbit and plays with the apple, I'll buy you a new car. ~Harvey Diamond

Man is the only animal that can remain on friendly terms with the victims he intends to eat until he eats them. ~Samuel Butler, Note-Books, 1912

Dear Lord, I've been asked, nay commanded, to thank Thee for the Christmas turkey before us... a turkey which was no doubt a lively, intelligent bird... a social being... capable of actual affection... nuzzling its young with almost human-like compassion. Anyway, it's dead and we're gonna eat it. Please give our respects to its family. ~Berke Breathed, Bloom County Babylon

Although we are a free, liberal, democratic country, I am sorry for pushing my choices onto Shweta and Edwina, but trust me do yourself, your soul and your body a favour, be vegetarian. Let me know if you dont see any difference.Dhawal Shahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09800925476308452892noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-550144415019268313.post-35665937649451445012008-12-18T05:09:00.000+00:002008-12-18T05:09:00.000+00:00Hmmmm....Hmmmm....Ye manzilen !!https://www.blogger.com/profile/16375104650729573677noreply@blogger.com
