I have been feeding on all news related to this man.
Any tiny winy news bits available...and I gobble them up...
Try as I may, I can't bring myself to hate this guy...
He is responsible for mayhem, bloodshed, fear, hatred and much more...
He is responsible for tearing the peaceful fabric of the city I love...
Yet, it's difficult to hate him.
Because I see him as -
A 21 year old who should have been in college
A poverty struck, mis-led youth consumed with hatred and anger for the world
A guy who wanted to make sense of his life
A guy who wanted to be respected, if not in life, then in death
A guy who hated his family for denying him what is deemed basic necessities by world standards
I see him as a Pawn
I burnt with anger during those 60 hours...
Yet, as the news about investigations started pouring in, I was shocked to learn about this 21 year old.
Just WHAT in the whole world can lead one to become a stone, kill without flinching and being remorseless?
Is it money alone? Respect and recognition in community?
Do all poverty stricken, slum bred, penniless men and women turn to terrorism?
NO.
I don't want to get into what led him to become a monster.
All I now want is that his confessions should be made public around the globe.
I DO NOT want him to be given legal aid !
No. That would be a mockery of this whole attack.
I want justice for my city, for the people.
I want Indians, in general, to have more spine. I want us to wake up and start "Doing" stuff rather than complaining.
I now want to get lost and doze off before this becomes one lengthy, whining, boring, caustic post !
Have a good weekend ahead...

Accha Dil Laayi ho....
Ys, this guy is famous as the "face of terror", even i was shocked to realise that he is more young than my brother.I wondering whn al the focus is this youngone, wt the real culprits r doing behind the scene, the ones who really brainwashed those youngsters with anger and fury and gav AK47s, whn they shud b in college havin fun with their loved ones.
Al i wud want is some justice to those who died in mumbai and a piece of relief to whoever gone through the entire drama, just being a mumbaikar or an indian.
I totally concur with you. He is 21, an impressionable age. How difficult can it be to manipulate him?
I feel sad for him and his parents, his mom specially! Can't imagine what she must be going through!
I think if he feels remorse, we should not hang him, instead try to rehabilitate him, but then again, none of my family members got hurt, so ...
@Ye Manilen - I don't think its about dil...I absolutely have no answer about what to do with him...Even if we were to sentence him to death...would such attacks stop in future? No.
@Devil Incarnate - The real culprits as u mentioned - these are the people we need to target. This basic fanaticism has to be uprooted.
@Maher - Yup, I feel bad for his mom.
Yet, I wouldn't want to rehabilitate this guy. After all does anyone angry with life and poverty take up arms? No.
Again, sending him to Indian Re-hab would be a slap on all families who have lost their loved ones.
I agree with alomost everything on the post except the fact that he should have access to legal aid.
Besides, I feel, its high time that we attack the root cause of terrorism.
@India unbound - Yup...getting down to the root cause is the most important thing...Yet, I just can't imagine spending tax payer's money to defend a terrorist...
Maybe we need to change our constitution....
