Can't tell you how very endearing and amusing I find the man.

Lost in Translation is one of the best romantic movies you will ever watch. (Yes, I can't help gushing. So, for once, overlook the adjectives!)
Funny and poignant, I haven't been able to get it out of my head since yesterday. Especially, the climax.
The movie is layered and very well scripted. Everything else you want to know, please read it on others' blogs.
I am just glad, it sets right what Before Sunrise did wrong.
You will have to watch both the movies to know/guess what I am referring to.

Sometimes, I lose my head.
It happens when I have a world of good movies to pick from and I end up with Up in the air, worse still, watching it till the very end.
Ryan Bingham (George Clooney) fires people for a living. Yes, he helps you to downsize your company if you don't want to get involved in the mess yourself.
Ryan has a philosophy - no marriage, no kids, no family, no love, you are born alone and you die alone.
Fine.
Problem arises when the movie attempts to bring a change of heart in Ryan, make him a decent, family man who suddenly realises that his life is empty and worthless.
One of the most half hearted, unbelievable and flimsy attempts ever.
Fire the movie.
