This piece by Aravind Adiga appeared in yesterday's Times of India Op-Ed.
I will wait for those of you who haven't read it, to march over and read Adiga's thoughts on Kannadigas and Karnataka.

Now, let's get down to some rumination.
Were you able to draw any parallel between Adiga's article and clarion calls of the fiery Raj Thackeray?
This post is not aimed at the merits/de-merits of the sons of the soil movement.
We are here only to take note and be more aware of the manipulation of public opinion that the Times of India regularly indulges in.
For a group that takes immense pride in its ultra secular credentials, how this piece snaked through the Op-Ed is anybody's guess.

This piece on Sohrabuddin needs to be read and re-read.
Later on, it needs to be spread and forwarded and tweeted and discussed extensively, till, all of us get the facts completely ingrained in our brains.
My favourite bit from the article:
"Settling political scores through security and investigative agencies like the CBI is not only bad politics, but also destructive for the nation’s security. To convey the impression (explicitly or implicitly) that Sohrabuddin was targeted for belonging to a particular community, thereby creating a sense of insecurity in a section of society, is detrimental to national interests. It is little known that a large number of Sohrabuddin’s victims were Muslims while a good number of his closest associates (including Tulsiram Prajapati, who was also killed in a similar encounter), were Hindu. William Blake could not have been more right when he said that “a truth that is pursued with bad intent beats all the lies you can invent”.
People who know my political leanings, don't leave a chance to badger me.
It is not because I may be well read, or, a little more interested in Indian Politics, than your average dame.
It is only with the honorable intent to protect me from a future of communalism, narrow mindedness, short-sightedness and possibly, even fanaticism.
Some innocents have also informed me that I might be personally responsible for all other innocents that have died in any communal riots, ever.
Yeah, this is what happens when you deal with the TOI and Arnab Goswami fed minds.
Being a Rightist amongst urban Indians requires a certain amount of skills and a lot of nerve.
I am still learning to perfect them.
