A mandate for Stability is what is being deemed as the UPA's win.

I can't say I am too happy about the results. Yet, the one silver lining that I see is the downfall of the LEFT.

UPA without the LEFT and other Brokers like the Mayawatis and the Mulayams and the Lalus is definitely a better choice and chance at a stable centre.

I am just so glad that "Mayawati For PM" slogan has been nipped in the bud !!

On the one hand, people of Bengal have shown amazing maturity while on the other hand, I am unhappy that people of a Cosmopolitan City like Mumbai have gone and voted for the MNS !?!

Here's hoping that India sees better and stronger governance this time around.

Congratulations to Mr. Singh and his team for this thumping Victory.

As promised to allthecrap, I shall be coming out with the shortcomings of the NDA (a LOT of which I think are responsible for this dismal performance) in my next post...

u gonna post shortcomings of NDA...did i read it rite???

Well, but seriously, I am happy that Mulayam and Maya would not addav their taang in decision making, but I think Lalu should be given a cabinet, he is a bhaiyya, but an intelligent and witty one. I just hope he is forgiven by INC for leaving them and given his railways back.

@allthecrap - Nope, it won't be long. Just the shortcomings I wish weren't there...

@What's in a name - Yup janaab, You READ it right. I ain't a blind folower of any party :)

And nope, Lalu jaiso ko ministry ke bahar hi rakhna chahiye...This shall be the first time that he would be out national as well as state politics. Would serve him right.

if you need to know, Lalu is actually quite an intelligent fella, I don't remember a single time during the last five years, when he demanded/blackmailed for something stupid from UPA, plus his work to the railways is indeed appreciable and how can we forget 1992-93 riots, when almost whole of India was burning, he as a chief minister made sure, there was peace in Bihar. That was an amazing work indeed. But at the end, he is a Bhaiyya, so thoda dimaag kharab ho gaya uska, and now he is paying the price for it.

@What's in a name - Yes, Lalu has done his Law from Patna Univ. Great!

Yes, he did turn around the railways...was invited to the IIM-A and I guess Wharton/Stanford too (can't re-collect which one)

Does that mean we turn a blind eye to what he has done in Bihar for almost 15 years??

You remember how he splurged money when his eldest daughter got married?? Such a lifestyle when your people are dying of hunger?

Also, riots mai achha karne se kya hota hai? How do you actually check if all minorities... infact why just minorities...all people of a state are doing well? Check their lifestyle, basic amenities, education...

Lalu Raj mai kidnappings ek dhandha ban gaya...People were afraid to venture out after 6...they were killed if they voted against him...

You still think we should get him into the Cabinet?
