Is idealism out of the window??
I think I fall into the minority who liked Me Shivaji Raje Boltoy...
Reasons why a lot of people didn't like it -
- Another Munnabhai MBBS ! No novelty...
- A lot of Non Maharashtrians felt that there was too much of "Me Marathi" in the movie. Not Good !
- A lot of Maharashtrians felt that the movie actually asked them to work?! What a crazy Suggestion !!
- Some others felt that the movie was too idealistic ! Just how can change of heart happen so easily?
- Some smarties felt... Shivaji? A 21st century Hero?? Ha..that's so ancient !
Or maybe I belong to the Dinosaur's era and am completely out of touch myself.

And why can't it be both ?
On a more serious note, let everyone know if there is a version online :)
Thanks.
@Deepak - The more I think about it, the more I feel it is both :)
Wouldn't know about an online version.
I feel that the movie tries to project its mesage with a force (almost brute force...) which does not go well we need something that is more practical in its approach.
@ARJuna - Brute Force? I didn't feel anything like that...what would you suggest should have been shown?
@All Talk...
I meant to say that the people who made the film are just trying to push their message of a "better Maharashtra" through, to us, however they do not express any practical way of doing it. We need a movie that can do both, spread its message to the masses as well as show a proper, practical way of achieving the goal of a better maharashtra at the same time.
@ARJuna - I think the movie does it's best when it says ki each one should take care of himself and work towards progress. No amount of regionalism/casteism works. It's an individual and his faith in his abilities that make wonders.
Sadly, most people missed this simple point. The movie actually can be applied to all castes, states and religions. Not just Maharashtra.
