i was thinking to talk to you about current randomness within BJP top notches.. i guess this is again related to too many intellectuals at one center, being very honest and forgetting about the norms to be followed for the communication..
when we cant decide correctly about nationalism, its very difficult to say anything about hindutva then..
@Deepak - I think the basic meaning of both terms is the same. It actually means a way of life. Yet, people today are misusing it for furthering their personal ambitions.
@ashkd - It would be nice to have a discussion with you reg. this :) I think BJP needs to decide what Hindutva means for them..define it...and not let anyone mis-use it for political purposes...
@Ye Manzilen - I can't say about others but, I would probably still be having this conversation even if BJP had won.
"Hindutva" is being used by a lot of people to further their vested interests. I am glad a LOT of top leaders from the BJP have demanded that we define what real Hindutva means to us.

Yes. Hindutva is definitely a mis-understood word but maybe not as mis-used as Jihad is.
Few people would know that Hindutva was coined by Veer Savarkar, who was an atheist himself. In a sense, Hindutva is nowhere related to Hinduism.

Wonder if we were having this conversation if BJP had won 216 seats!
