Haunting Scores, amazing lyrics, fabulous Lata!

A simple song, a hesitant lady, lots of day dreaming...still don't know why I love it....maybe because simple things are the most genuine...

For some reason, I never liked the Saawariya song, probably the weakest link in the album. Personal opinion, again.

But I always had to watch it coz the song has the most beautiful and unforgettable shots of the movie as the trio make their journey.

lovely choices!!! each of these represent something to adore, something to get lost and something to really love unconditionally.. purest forms.. Great work to showcase these.. :-)

@Deepak - Somehow I always felt that aahista aahista was the weakest link in the album...

I love saawariya because of it's very genuine lyrics...nothing over the top, not too many mushy confessions..
just plain realization of love...

@ashkd - I know, so pure!! I love these :)

I loved the 'mera saya'. Movie was awesome.BUt bahut time hogaya DD pe dekhi thi... :)
And abt swadesh; like deepak even I thght sawariya was weak link. and I loved ahistha ahistha more because of SRK's expressions...

@ATANA : Agree with the grounded lyrics, but I cannot tolerate the song. Maybe it is Alka Yagnik, coz I don't mind the pure music parts of the song. I don't take too nicely to her singing, you see, except maybe a couple of songs.

Aahista .. hehe. One of the best melodies from Rahman and fine performance by Udit Narayan.

Incidentally, this whole album is arguably Udit Narayan at his best.

@allthecrap - Ok...I just love Saawariya...Sweet lyrics and beautiful Gayatri...Also, I guess the song has been shot in Wai in Maharashtra...beautiful place !
Waise I don't like SRK one bit...I think this was his best work ever :)

@Deepak - Strong words there about Alka...anyway, as usual, we should agree to disagree :)
